Hello! Welcome to Simply Happenstance! My name is Sara! Nicole and I are the proud creators of this mama lifestyle blog! We genuinely hope that you will find it to be authentic, relatable to your own life, and a place where you can take a mental vacation from the craziness of whatever your daily runaround entails. Our wish is that this site provides you with some smiles, laughs, resources, beauty, and hopefully… some moments of inspiration.
{A little about me}
First and foremost, I love Jesus! I hope that I am honoring Him, and making Him proud everyday with how I choose to live my life. I am a wifey of 12 years to one amazing man, my Husby… Jason! He is a firefighter and the most caring and kind person I have ever met. He is incredibly supportive in allowing me to pursue my passions {whatever those may be at the given moment – wink, wink}. Husby and I have four beautiful children…. Ryan {age 10}, Seth {age 8}, Sophia Blue {age 7}, and Finn {age 4}.

Most days you will find us {literally} chasing Finn and trying to keep up with the older three and their daily school schedules and extra-curricular activities. We find a bit of {much needed} peace, and connect as a family, with weekend pajama days, lively at-home dance parties {with DJ Jazzy Husby mixing music on our Mac… of course!}, and time spent at church. I personally love and take respite in yoga, mid-century modern design, baking with my girl, date nights, time spent with “soul” friends, and dreaming of days spent traveling the world by sailboat as a child {thanks to my brave parents – huge heart smile}. I recently had what Oprah would call an “aha moment” when watching a Jennifer Anniston comedy. She realized that she had commitment issues with life. Oh no!!… {I thought}… That’s totally me {don’t worry Husby…it doesn’t appear to affect my relationships}! I am the kind of person who kept getting college degrees when I discovered a new interest… hence the 10 years of college and two master’s degrees in different fields of psychology {don’t get me started on my student loans}! I have wild fantasies of one day becoming a yoga instructor, nutritionist, doula, college professor, photographer, children’s author, expert in calligraphy, gourmet vegan chef, and perhaps… an Ayurvedic specialist {to name a few – Haha}! For now, I feel blessed to be a stay-at-home mama!
Since {clearly} I have too many interests for one lifetime… I have discovered that blogging, may in fact, be the perfect outlet for me to creatively express myself… while sharing my thoughts, interests, knowledge, and life’s simple beauty that I happen to stumble upon along the way. Perhaps it’s “Simply Happenstance” that we have found each other, or maybe it was always meant to be! Either way, I sincerely hope that you enjoy our site. I would love nothing more than to get to know you through your posted comments or emails! {xo} sara
