:: BIRCHBOX FAVORITES ::
I love products…. but I certainly don’t go to beauty supply stores and shop for myself often. With four kids, it seems like all shopping these days is for them…. not mama! Birchbox is perfect for someone like me! At only ten dollars a month, I don’t feel bad with the small purchase. The added bonus is that you don’t pay additional shipping and it comes in the mail… so it’s like opening up a little present once a month! I had every intention of doing a monthly review of its contents… but that hasn’t happened… In fact, I’ve only done this one {which you can view here}. In lieu of the monthly review, I decided to share with you several of my favorite products that I have received over the past five months. All of my favorites are on the Birchbox Best Sellers list, which means I am not alone in my opinions! These products are of great quality and ones I will purchase for myself once my samples run out.
theBalm // Put A Lid On It
A little goes a long way with this amazing eyelid primer! I have used several other brands. This one happens to be less money, while still producing the same lasting, creaseless effect! Your shadows and eyeliner will stay on all day long! At times, I hesitate when about to wash off my eye makeup {at the end of the day} because it still looks perfect! I’m not one to sleep in my makeup, but I almost wonder if you could! You would probably wake up with your eyes looking flawless, assuming you’re a back sleeper! This product retails for $18.
Benefit // Benetint
I ADORE this product! The smell of fresh roses, the cheerful tint, and the way you can use it not only on your lips, but your cheeks, as well! It’s happy…. it works…. and I LOVE it! It leaves a translucent rosy color that makes you appear naturally flushed and pretty! It’s a favorite among celebrities, makeup artists, and models! This product retails for $29.
Eyeko // Skinny Liquid Liner
This London-based company has invented a “goofproof” pen-like liquid liner that comes in multiple colors! It glides on easily, doesn’t tug at your skin, and is long-lasting {especially when combined with theBalm primer}! It comes in a few vibrant colors, outside of traditional black, to make your eyes POP! This product retails for $16.
Mirenesse // Glossy Kiss
This lip stain is also a hydrating balm. It has a dual function with the ability to be used on your cheeks {just like the Benetint}. The main difference between this product and the Benetint… is that this glides on revealing a deep true shade that lasts for hours! This is definitely for girls who love the look of lipstick! It comes in four distict shades: “Flirty Kiss, a true red; Quick Kiss, a daring orange; Cheeky Kiss, a beige-toned pink; and Perfect Kiss, a soft coral.” Each retails for $ 26.55.
Amika // Nourishing Hair Mask
This lovely product can be used as an occasional deep conditioning treatment or as an everyday conditioner. It is paraben/sulfate free, and is rich in natural vitamins, omega acids, and vitamin C! At only $12, it’s a great product to keep your hair super healthy and full of shine! I used it as a hair mask and let it sink in for several minutes before my normal shampooing ritual. My hair was incredibly soft!
Beauty Protector // Protect & Detangle Spray
I used this leave-in conditioning mist on both my kids and I. It smells amazing {a floral scent}! It also really does work as a detangler! Honestly… if it helped me brush through Sophia’s long, thick hair…. you know it works well! In addition, it smooths, moisturizes, minimizes frizz, and shields from heat and sun damage. It ‘s also paraben/sulfate-free and vegan! This product retails for $21.95.
Twistband // Headband Collection
This six-pack comes in a few different color collections. Each band is made of soft elastic that won’t leave creases in your hair or cause the dreaded headaches that so often accompany the wearing of traditional headbands. These would be super cute while working out… or for your daughters! Sophia wears ours {in coral} frequently and loves it! A pack of six retails for $19.
If you would like to join the Birchbox monthly membership click {here} for details {they also have one for men… but it costs slightly more ~ $20 a month}. I know there are several other companies that offer monthly membership subscriptions for beauty products {check out this link from Allure for 8 popular ones}. Do you subscribe to any?
